A VERY SCARY THING HAPPENED TO ME TODAY.

but let's not jump the story & start from the beginning.

i realised i didnt eat alot this bbq. i spent more time playing & chatting with my cousins of my generation. kak yani lived on the ground floor so it was very convenient & it felt a little like kampung style. haha. was chatting with aisyah & yuni by the side of the badminton court while watching some of them play badminton, before getting dragged to take care of my nieces + some other young kids at the playground. it was really nostalgic cos that playground used to be OUR playspot back when we were young. so we just sat by the side & talked about our childhood while occasionally watching out for the kids.

went back to kak yani's hse during maghrib & ate a little bit more. after which, my cousins of my sister's generation started playing those kampung games called zero point or something, the game with the lots of rubber bands tied togthr, and we sat down & watched. it was really cool to see those of my sister's generation playing their childhood game. after some time, i played badminton & it was my first time playing competitive badminton. aisyah & i were so pressured, we didn't know how to play competitively (haha!) so we got thrashed pretty badly. but i had fun playing with my male cousins & nephews (according to hierachy despite being around the same age). played a second time round but i still lost so decided to play leisurely with yuni by the side. that was when i started feeling itchy near my chin & right ear. so me, thinking that it was a normal mosquite bite just scratched & shrugged off the itchiness. but my face got reallyyy itchy after a while & i felt 4 bite marks around my face so i told aisyah & she said yeah there're alot. so we went in to kak yani's place in an attempt to put some calamine but when i went in & looked at my face in the mirror, THERE WERE BITE MARKS ALL OVER MY FACE! BIG & SMALL, EVERYWHERE AROUND MY FACE! IT LOOKED LIKE I WAS HAVING POX ON MY FACE! YOU KNOW HOW FREAKED OUT I WAS???? my female cousins that were older were like rushing me to wash my face & stop scratching & news spread to my mum... haha. so my mum came in & said it wasn't an insect bite but it was "gata-gata" which is something like angin tak baik in that context and she started asking me to baca2 the doa to ward off perbuatan2 jin & syaitan so i got even more freaked out. i then got banned from leaving the house & was just told to sit there & not do anything to my face & just baca2. haha. so that's what i did for about half an hour before i couldn't stand hearing my cousins happily playing soccer outside so i went out and by that time luckily, the marks had subsided and were not as defined anymore.

i was really2 scared when i saw the marks on my face.... like why on my face only & not on my arms? and esp when my mum suspects it may be some doings which only scares me even more. and it was like she was like knowing something but didnt wanna tell me the real thing kind of situation. i really had to put in effort to not cry seeing my face in that state & i'm thankful to say my face is almost back to normal now & the marks are not that obvious if you didn't know what happened. haha.

in all, i had a great great time with the extended family and like kak adik said, this was the family event of the year. minus the bizarre bites on my face though. haha.

tomorrow i don't know what i'll be doing in the afternoon. in the evening, i'll be going to the scouts sevars bbq at jss & staying over so that i don't have to rush home. anyone wanna meet me in the afternoon? rare for me to be free on a saturday afternoon know... hahaha.

this was the best family day we've ever had in ages.

sis came by in the morning to drop off the chocolate fondue pot & then sent me, the parents & my nieces to IMM cos my parents promised my nieces that they could play at the IMM playground today. lunched there & walked around for a while. then went home to wait for my siblings to come.

my sis & bro-in-law came around 3, my bro & sis-in-law came around 4. both brought some light snacks so we had sort of tea break in the living room. haha. sometime during that time, i realised how much the living room was filled with laughter & how much we haven't done this for some time. shrugged off this emotional feeling cos i'm not all feel-y around my family members. haha. then all of us left for fish farm around 5plus, with my nieces following my bro's car while my parents & i followed in my sis' car. it was my sis-in-law & my bro's first time at the fish spa, so they reacted in the same way i did a few weeks back. even my bro, the PE TEACHER, was distorting his face so much to try to endure the ticklishness. hahahaha! my sis & i were laughing at him like crazyyy. and for some reason, maybe my bro's feet has more germs & dead skin cells, every time my bro put his feet in, ALL the fishes wouldn't come to my sis & me but would go to my bro. hahahahaha. and i got more daring today. i actually put my whole feet in & i actually went to the big fish pond, of course with lots of wriggling about & reading a book to distract myself. haha.

we stayed till closing, then went back to my place for prayer break. then went out again for dinner at teh tarik. it was my treat since i haven't given my fam a treat ever since i got my allowance. and mind you, my fam can spend hundreds on food alone. haha. just a little something for my parents to feel cos like my bro said, we don't know if they'll be well enough by the time i earn a proper income. when my bro first said it to me, i felt quite delusional cos i don't like thinking about such stuff. but he did make sense, so yeah. and it's my dad's bday also (since it's past midnight). i think this is the best bday my dad has had in years. my bro gave us a treat a week ago, i gave them a treat today, and my sis' ordered a very specialised cake costing over 100bucks for tomorrow... i hope he had a good time.

anyway, i gotta say i was touched when both my sis & my bro asked if i had enough money for today. they've done so much for me, whether i know it or not, and i think it's time i start doing things for them too. i know it's kinda young to start giving financially at 19, but with my family situation, i guess i have to. my bro's words keep ringing in my ears - that my parents may not be around by the time i earn a proper income to give to them (God forbid though, may they live long). i just have to lessen their burden now.

tomorrow, or effectively later, we'll be going to kak yani's place for an extended family bbq (i found out tt it's to celeb my dad's bday as well). i'd have to miss the 23rd gathering & it's kinda sad cos i haven't met the whole group since july... but nvm, you know my spirit will always be with you guys. hahaha! looking forward to the 23rd bbq at yeele's house on new year. =)

i think i better go hit the sheets now cos i actually used my toner instead of my lotion to remove my eyeliner just now, a sign that i'm tired.

~ happy 63rd birthday abah. semoga dipanjangkan umur dan dimurahkan rezeki. amin.

i had a good dream yesterday amidst all the other 34821320849 bad dreams i had. and in the good dream, i passed my physics.

TIMETABLE PLANNING & COURSE REGISTRATION IS SUCH A CHORE!

i still don't understand how registering for the electives work. hopefully i'll manage when it's time 13 hours from now. so many of the modules i'm interested have timings that clash or they're not offered in sem 2. troublesomeee!

and, should i minor in math? i planned to because moe requires me to take at least 4 modules of math & to minor is 5 modules so might as well right. but... math looks cheeeeeeeeeeeeem.

how how how!
